We are pretty close to eliminating modello with woodstox. I'm expecting that we will just read the pom version to determine how we parse a different model that way a single version of Maven would be able to handle all the previous pom versions. I think that would eliminate a need for swapping in different versions of a component, unless I'm missing something.
